The ER (Eastern Railway) invites all the applicants for the post of D Group and C Group against Guide and Scout Quota. A sum total of 10 posts are vacant. For the post of C Group there are Two (2) posts vacant and the monthly pay scale for the available post is Five Thousand and Two Hundred to Twenty Thousand and Two Hundred (5,200 – 20,200). The grade pay for the available post is One Thousand and Nine Hundred (1,900). The educational qualification required for the post is Class 12 pass or equivalent with a minimum of aggregate 50% marks along with the qualification of Guide and Scout. For the post of D Group (Erstwhile) there are Eight (8) posts vacant and the monthly pay scale for the post is Five Thousand and Two Hundred to Twenty Thousand and Two Hundred (5,200 – 20,200). The Grade pay for the post is One Thousand and Nine Hundred (1900). The educational qualification required for the post is ITI or Class 10 pass or equal or NAC (National Apprenticeship Certificate) permitted by NCVT with Guide and Scout qualification. The candidate should be an Indian National and the age limit for the C Group is Eighteen to Twenty Nine (18 – 29) years and D Group is Eighteen to Thirty Two (18 – 32) years as on 1 January 2017.
There is the provision of relaxation of age. In case of candidates falling in the OBC category it is Three (3) years and for the ST/SC Category the age relaxation is Five (5) years. The selected candidates will be posted in different places all over India. The selection procedure for the vacant posts has not been mentioned. Application fee of Five Hundred (500) has to be furnished for the General and OBC candidates and Two Hundred and Fifty (250) for the Economically Backward Class/Ex. Servicemen/Women/ST/SC/Minorities and PWD through IPO (Indian Postal Order) in favor of Eastern Railway, FA and CAO, to be paid at Kolkata.
