  • Bank of Baroda was formed in the year 1908; it is the 2nd largest bank in our country. There are about Five Thousand Three Hundred twenty Six (5326) branches in the nation.

  • Rajkot Nagarik Sahakri Bank was established in the year 1953.
  • Central Bank of India was formed in the year 1911; the head-quarter is located in the city Mumbai n Maharashtra. There are about Four Thousand Seven Hundred 94700) bracnhes across the country.
  • Bank of India was established in the year 1906, there are Four Thousand Eight Hundred (4800) branches of the bank throughout India

 

  • Apart from these famous banks, there are many other government banks also. They are Canara Bank, Punjab National Bank, Allahabad Bank, Andhra Bank, Dena bank, Corporation bank, Punjab and Sindh bank, Indian Overseas Bank, Indian bank, Syndicate Bank, United Bank of India, UCO Bank, Vijaya Bank, IDBI bank etc.

There are many public banks also in our country, the names are as follows:

  • Axis bank was established in the year 1993. There are about Three Thousand (3000) branches all over the nation.
  • ICICI bank is one of the topmost banks in the private sector, it was formed in 1994. There are about Four Thousand Five Hundred 94500) branches and about Thirteen Thousand 913000) ATMs throughout the country.
  • Bandhan Bank is established in the year 2001; the head-quarter is located at West Bengal. There are about 2000 (two thousand) branches of the bank in India. This bank has been recognized as the fastest growing bank in the year 2014.

 

  • There are many other private sector banks in India, the names are : Catholic Syrian Bank, City Union Bank, Dhanlaxmi Bank, DCB bank, HDFC bank, Federal Bank, Karur Vysya Bank, HSBC bank, Karnataka bank, Yes bank, Citi bank, IDFC Bank, RBL bank, Kotak Mahindra Bank, Induslnd Bank etc.
